The fourth and final game was the make-or-break game for the Mladost Marina Kaštela volleyball team. They secured a victory and defended their 5^th Croatian champion title!

The Marina guys managed to completely disarm their toughest competitor, Mladost from Zagreb, with a solid score of 3:0. This is how the team trained by Ivan Rančić has once again asserted their quality and shown everyone that they are simply the best team in Croatia.

Our women’s volleyball team was also successful at the Croatian Volleyball Championship as it has won the excellent second place.

We at Marina Kaštela and Bavadrija are proud to be a part of this success story. We are also proud of the fact that Kaštela has been profiled as the centre of Croatian volleyball. Congratulations to all our volleyball players for an excellent season!

After four days, the most important nautical fair in Austria and the neighbouring region – the Austrian Boat Show – Boot Tulln, has ended. 380 exhibitors from 18 countries presented their novelties to 48,246 visitors at the sold out fair representing an increase of 3% compared to the previous year.

“The conclusion is that our booth had many visitors constantly coming to see us between 10 am and 6 pm. We carried on some interesting conversations and we would like to commend the Tulln fair team for organizing and implementing the fair. Of course, there was no lack of Dalmatian specialties such as candied orange peels, caramelized almonds, home-grown dried figs, Dalmatian wine, prosciutto and cheese, as well as salted anchovy fillets in olive oil.

We have also proudly presented the start of construction works in our marina. The plans include an indoor swimming pool, a headquarters building, a sailing club… “, explained Albina Zanetti from Bavadria Yachting.

The “Sportsko ime Dalmacije” (Sports Name of Dalmatia) award ceremony by Slobodna Dalmacija took place in the old city hall on Pjaca in Split. The Mladost Marina Kaštela volleyball club received the award for the best Dalmatian sports team in 2015.
“This is one of our favourite trophies because it is not easy to be named the best sports team in  Dalmatia, especially if you play volleyball. It is a great success that we can be proud of. This is the stimulus we needed on our road to the 5^th consecutive title” – stated the coach, Ivan Rančić.
Other teams in the race for the best team title were the Jug rowing team from Dubrovnik, VK Sveti Krševan, yachtsmen Šime Fantela and Igor Marenić, the Nada rugby club from Split, the Split Tommy indoor soccer team and the Mornar Brdospas water-polo club from Split.
The Pujanko judo club was named the best crew while other notable names in sports were Blanka Vlašić, the track and field athlete, Ivan Kljaković Gašpić, the yachtsman and Duje Ajduković, the tennis player.
The “Sportsko ime Dalmacije” award is traditionally given by Slobodna Dalmacija with the goal of promoting athletes in the region and with the readers actively participating in the nominating process.
