During the week of collecting warm winter clothing and footwear in Marina Kaštela for refugees and migrants passing through Croatia, we have gathered women’s and children’s clothing and footwear and sent it to the newly opened winter receiving centre for refugees in Slavonski Brod. The clothing will be given to the volunteers and the institutions working with refugees so that it can reach those who desperately need it as quickly as possible.
We are especially grateful to everyone who has participated in this project with their donations. During the past week, a large number of citizens have contacted us. They have given their support to this initiative with their donations and have also volunteered by sorting the clothing. We have received a special donation from Putevi milosti from Dugobab, a Christian association that has provided us with a large quantity of collected clothing already packed in boxes.
Since the need still exists, the action of collecting clothing continues. The next shipment of mostly men’s clothing and blankets, but also women’s and children’s, will be taken to Zagreb to the volunteers working on the border with Slovenia.
